paper crane jacket

Wrist_2 Img_1089 Img_1059 L_side_1

here it is.

what i fondly refer to as my paper crane jacket.

fabric: grey polished cotton

closure: hook and eye

pattern: from this book.

detail: raw edges with folded neck and front seam.

when this jacket is flat, it has some form similarities to this winter roll-neck by akira isogawa; a shape that is surprisingly flattering on the female form, especially teamed with a dark, slimly clad bottom half ie black long skirt or black long pants to assist the upper shape.

and as di recently considered, i am wondering how this might translate with a cotton/lycra fabric; much softer folds and shape certainly but perhaps a little more 'y3' in styling.
