another recent 'vintage' akira acquisition... intriguing form, no?! it sure gets my creative brain cells buzzing with the design opportunities that such forms provoke and inspire.
it reminds me of the bomba top by half-dress that i found via ah-yi. not so sure i would wear this top upside down like you can wear the bomba top but, oh, the creative possibilities!
i love the 'half-dress' concept that allows the person wearing their clothing to transform and adapt it to suit them; an item of clothing like a tshirt can be worn in more than one way. a garment can be worn back to front, upside down, inside out. clever.
and i am impressed with how flattering this shape is on the human form! the slim waist detail works for me. and the roll neck is perfect for this current spell of chilly melbourne weather. and the elbow length sleeve makes it keyboard friendly.
and you can see a peek of my new dark-ish jeans... yes, i finally found a pair that actually fits and flatters! (i was close to despair but found solace in a pair of jag jeans)
