this skirt has been a looooong time coming.
i first saw a folded twisted waistband on a skirt at husk years ago.
there have been numerous unsuccessful attempts.
not twisted enough.
not twisted at all.
twisted too much.
run out of fabric.
a new variation that i recently considered involved a black skirt with an inset feature panel.
with sashiko embroidery stitching over.
as i was putting the skirt together and developing it along the way, the inset feature panel has become something more.
an almost overlapping element.
partly sewn. partly lapped.
the contrast embroidery stitching? still under consideration. thoughts?
