梯形 | TEIKEI Japanese for (n) trapezoid, a quadrilateral shape/form

 

my new [favourite] scarf:

using the form of a right-angled trapezium/trapezoid

and the ever-amazing habu silk wrapped stainless steel

with two airy, lightweight threads of super fine merino yarn.

 

knitted long.

aromatic | nourishment

a spicy sweet fragrant indulgence;

perfectly suited to cosy winter firesides.

[ i've been known to make this

simply for the wonderful scent in the house!]

 

WARM APPLE CIDER

serves 4

ingredients

1l apple juice

1 cinnamon stick

10 cloves

1/2 tsp cardamom seeds

method

1.   pour apple juice into medium size heavy based saucepan.

2.   add spices.

3.   over a medium heat and taking 5 -10 mins, heat mixture to hot but not boiling.

4.   remove from heat and pour into 4 heat resistant cups with strainer to remove spices.

5.   add a fresh cinnamon stick to garnish, if desired. enjoy!

i attempted a pair of the pattern magic 3 'curly' leggings for anais:

fail!

way too long for her

[a poor miscalculation about the effect of fabric weight + drape on my behalf]

and not her cup of tea at all

["can you cut off these bunchy bits"]

but

never fear

my beautiful friend, hannah,

with the perfect legs for the style,

was more than happy with them.

score!

 

 

and yes, i think our blue tongue lizard was also eyeing them off...

the weekend that was:

so good to get away with a great group of crafting types

and hit the sewing machine hard!

i worked on 8 or so sewn garments,

to varying degrees of completion.

[and 1 knitting machine piece still under construction]
